Heidi Klum: I Need To Lose 20 Pounds (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 03/18/2010 5:12 am Updated: 05/25/2011 2:40 pm

Heidi Klum gave birth to daughter Lou just over five weeks ago, so not surprisingly she's still carrying some post-baby weight. At an event for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday, the show's host told People, "I'm definitely one of the heaviest of the bunch of the 30 girls in the show. And I still have 20 lbs. to go."

But she'll be embracing her post-baby body with curve-hugging outfits at tomorrow's taping of the fashion show, which airs December 1st. "I have some great one-of-a-kind latex pieces that were made for me. I figure why not? I embrace that I have more curves right now."

Klum tells the magazine that her workout regimen includes walking on a treadmill and up and down her driveway. She also reveals that she does a lot of hearty cooking at home, making dishes like goulash, spaghetti Bolognese, and schnitzel.

This is not a current picture. Adriana, the model on the far left just had a baby this week. She and Heidi are not showing any baby weight in this picture.

She needs to lose 20 pounds and her propensity for breeding in an overpopulated world.

what weight? i think she looks better now than she does on the PR show, where I think she's too skinny. But whatever.

The reason why so many Americans are overweight is not from being lazy or greedy. It's our food. Thanks to Monsanto injecting everything with hormones, girls are starting their cycles at 7 and 8 and developing way too early. Anyone ever pick of a drumstick lately? They are freakishly large. I drank a lot of milk when I was pregnant and the RGHB in the milk gave me mastitis because my glands were overproducing milk. I found out later that the hormone fed to the milking cows caused the same thing in rats.

That's why Europe fights against our GMO food. I've been to Europe. They eat way more than we do and don't exercise nearly as much, but are a lot thinner. They also drink and smoke, but still live longer than we do.

I've been here in France since 2000 (moved here from San Francisco).

I visited the U.S. twice a year ago and was actually surprised (cause I have forgotten) when I ordered food at a restaurant. The plate was huge, the portions were also ginormous. I would have asked to take the leftover food but honestly, I now realize that the food in the States is quite tasteless compared to the food here in France.

Here in France, we buy things that are in season and produce that are in season are usually very tasty. I recall that in the U.S., we can buy almost everything at any time of the year but somehow since these items are mostly not grown organically, they are not tasty as well. I think that no matter what I ate while I was there, it all tasted the same - flat... avocado didn't task like avocado, breast of chicken tasted flat as well. I actually started missing food here in France after a few days.

I think there is a market for simple, fresh, and ready made food in the U.S. The portions can also be made smaller. I would love to open 'traiteurs' that would sell this kind of food to americans. Food does not have to be expensive to be good. Delicious food also does not have to cost much.

You must not have been in Philly. Food in the city is great. Other places and Suburbs, not so much.

You are so right with your observation about the food. I've been to Europe recently and I was pleasantly surprised about the size of the portions. Living in the US had made me fall into the super sized portions served in Restaurants, etc. Lets just say I've changed my habits since my visit home. I still enjoy the great foods offered in Philly, San Fran and New York, but my portions have been cut in half and I feel so much better for it. I'm certainly not starving myself.
