Montrose Plane Crash: Single Engine Cessna Goes Down In Western Slope Neighborhood

Police say a small, single-engine Cessna aircraft crashed into a Montrose neighborhood at about 11:30 AM on Wednesday. The Montrose Free Press reports that the pilot, who has not been identified, was taken to Montrose Memorial Hospital with facial injuries.

Montrose Fire Chief Bob Pistor told the Denver Post that "the pilot was landing when it lost power and hit a tree."

No structures were damaged and the pilot's injuries were non life-threatening.
