Sarah Palin Thanks Conservative Media Figures In Her Acknowledgments: Who Are They?

If you've read Sarah Palin's new book, Dealbreaker: The Book For You, Man No Good, Going Rogue, then you may have noticed that in her acknowledgments, she thanks the "media professionals whom I admire because you don't let anyone tell you to sit down and shut up" -- by which she means, "the media figures who steadfastly refuse to ask me anything but softball questions."

She goes on to provide a lengthy list of said media professionals, by first name. This is probably her way of sticking it to "coastal elites" who bitterly cling to "surnames" and "books with indexes."

That list is as follows:

Keep calling it like you see it: Amanda, Andrew, Ann, Bill(s), Bob, Cal, Dennis, Dick, Eddie, Fred, Glenn, Greta, Hugh, Joey, John, Jonah, Larry, Laura, Lou, Mark, Mary, Michael, Michelle, R.A.M., Rich, Rush, S.E., Sean, Tammy, Walter... and there are more.

Over at the Washington Independent, Dave Weigel's offered his best guess as to who these folks might be:

Here are my best guesses for most of them: Amanda Carpenter of The Washington Times, Ann Coulter, Bill Kristol, Bill O'Reilly, Cal Thomas, Dennis Miller, Fred Barnes, Glenn Beck, Greta Van Susteren, Hugh Hewitt, Jonah Goldberg, Larry Kudlow, Laura Ingraham, Lou Dobbs, Mark Levin, Michael Reagan, Michelle Malkin, Rich Lowry, Rush Limbaugh, S.E. Cupp, Sean Hannity, Tammy Bruce, and Walter Williams.

That leaves Andrew, Bob, Dick, Eddie, Joey, John, Mary, and R.A.M. Well, HuffPost Media Editor Danny Shea has been working at filling in the gaps, and with the help of a little crowdsourcing, posits the following:

--"Bob" likely refers to Bob Lester, who is the co-host of an Anchorage morning show with Mark Colavecchio. (Which means "Mark" may not refer to Mark Levin, or is intended as a place holder for all the conservative Marks in media.) You might remember Bob Lester from the cancer jokes he cracked about Palin critic Lyda Green.

--"Eddie" probably refers to another Anchorage right-wing luminary, Eddie Burk. He'd best known for his on-air announcement of the cellphone numbers of women who organized a rally in Anchorage protesting the VP pick, referring to them as "socialist, baby-killing maggots."

--"Joey" could possibly refer to Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily, who we are told goes by Joey.

--"R.A.M." is almost certainly Rebecca Mansour, of Conservatives 4 Palin.

--Danny also thinks that there's a good chance that "Dennis" refers to Dennis Prager, one of America's leading marital rape apologists.

That leaves Andrew, Dick, John, and Mary. "John" is probably a catch-all for every John in the right-wing mediasphere that's ever said anything nice about Palin. "Mary" likely refers to Mary Matalin, who thought Palin's decision to resign as Governor of Alaska was "really brilliant". "Dick" is possibly Richard Viguerie, who called Palin "the next Ronald Reagan".

And of course, I'm guessing that "Andrew" refers to Atlantic blogger Andrew Sullivan, seeing as how he's been living rent-free in Sarah Palin's head for the better part of the past year.
