Jon Stewart Explains To Conservative Pundits Why He Doesn't Like Sarah Palin (VIDEO)

What's Your Reaction?
Jon Stewart

Jon Stewart gave what seemed like his final word on Sarah Palin last night, explaining to Fox News pundits that he doesn't dislike her because she's from Alaska or because she hunts, but because "when you peel back the pretty, shooty layers of the Palin onion, there's no onion. It's just a conservative boiler plate mad lib: 'Freedom is good and taxes are--ooh I need an adjective--how about, I don't know, silly?' And the worst part it's a mad lib delivered as though it were the hard-earned wisdom of a life well lived," he explained.

Stewart took exception to the accusations that Democrats don't like Palin because she's attractive and religious, but he was particularly angered by the words of Bernie Goldberg who said on Fox that liberals have "Palin Derangement Syndrome" and are driven crazy by her because she has five kids--one with Down syndrome which "liberals certainly don't allow that to happen [to them.]"

Love politics? Love making fun of Sarah Palin? Then you'll love this new song: "You down with GOP (yeah you know me)" http://www.youtube.com/user/Breeohnnah#p/a/u/0/-pe_LFA-6gM

Funny would be Jon Stewart doing the following skit.

Obama's press secretary writing on his hand and talking.

He would say that the list is things he needs to buy. Milk, Eggs, Hope and Change.

Yes, the Whitehouse thinks "Hope and Change" can be bought!

Oh that is not news, we see the massive spending bills that are really just buying off votes.

The funnier thing would be if Huffington post would actualy let this post occur.....

Your censorship is wierd, you will not let post occur unless they are left based. You even allow racist posts as long as they are left based. Shame on HuffingtonPost

He is the greatest. There would be a void if there wasn't Jon Stewart's voice. As this culture gets screwier with the Palins, Becks, and Wilsons, we needs Stewart's guts and humor. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

It's sad to me that it takes a Jon Stewart to stand up and make these statements.

Politicians are too busy worrying about losing their jobs, and the press... well, who knows what's going on there.

One of the most ironic and annoying aspects of the adulation of Palin by the right is how many of them DON'T want a woman for a boss, a priest, a minister, or other authority figure. Go figure.

I think the #1 reason right-wing men love her is her sexual appeal to them, an aspect of her identity they mention again and again. (They may have admired Margaret Thatcher, but they didn't drool over her. An plain Palin would be an obscure former Wasilla mayor.) The right-wing women? They would love to be in her position... uninformed, poorly educated, spouting nonsense and lies, yet world famous and well on the way to being wealthy, seemingly. It's a success story for them to dream of.

Palin Palin Palin...it's Sara 24/7 on cable. She couldn't buy that much air time for her book...she's laughing' all the way to the bank....don't let her bluff at a presidential run make us all hysterical...it's the neocons strategic plan to show case her to solidify the base, but nominate another for the run in 2012. Any republican will look better by default. Get it? Now stop the whining and enjoy the show.

Why would we have "derangement syndrome" for someone who can't get elected? We're more mad at the media for taking this woman seriously.

Poor little Palin follower. Did Jon Stewart hurt your feelings?

>>No one apparently cares what he says...

Really? He's won seven Emmys for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series and six for Outstanding Writing... etc. because "apparently" no one cares.

This is precisely why, as bad as the Democrats are, the Republican have no credibility. The Republican party is nothing more than a bumper sticker.

You watched it. So if only drones watch him, guess your a drone. From your lips to God ear!!!! ROFLMAO

Yet another example of someone posting without researching facts.

2 million viewers + Top 5 consistently on web-cast.

Bunch of Emmy's for best comedy plus writing.

Wrong. People on the left can tolerate Christians, (many lefties are Christian) but they can't tolerate having other people's religious values forced on them.

Relativists are not people who promote moral relativism, they just recognize that relativism is a fact of human nature. "The truth is: to be human is to be a hypocrite and a liar-it's all a matter of degree."
I agree with that. Relatively speaking.

Sarah Palin is not news. She should not be covered as news. We've got important problems to deal with in this country. Let David Brody and Glenn Beck drool over her.
Combat global warming. Ice Sarah Palin.

Many so called 'progressives' on this blog can not tolerate anything or anyone who does not agree 150% with them. It's a two way street on intolerance and bigotry.

For myself, I want Palin to stay in the news. I want her out there as the voice of conservatives. Every day she pulls a few people out of the middle and into the liberal campground. She's the best recruiting tool the democratic party has had in a long time.
