National Governors Association To Meet In Colorado Springs

Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter will host next year's meeting of the National Governors Association at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. The 2010 seminar will help governors-elect prepare for the unique life that accompanies being a governor.

In a press release, the Association said

the biennial, bipartisan seminar features a series of workshops and business sessions in which a collegial faculty of veteran governors advise governors-elect and their transition team on a host of issues.

The group will host at least 22 new governors at the Broadmoor in addition to their spouses. The seminar will run from Friday, Nov. 19 through Sunday, Nov. 21.

Governor Ritter considers the seminar to be "an opportunity for veteran governors to share our experiences and offer a small glimpse of what the governors-elect can expect when they take office."

The 2008 seminar was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
