Saving Abandoned Babies: The Movie

Saving Abandoned Babies: The Movie

Thirteen years ago, Debbe Magnusen saw a newspaper article about a baby found dead in a filing cabinet in California after its mother had abandoned it. The news piece inspired Magnusen to go on TV and invite desperate mothers to leave their newborn babies in a basket on her porch, no questions asked.

The open call for unwanted babies turned into Project Cuddle, and 661 babies later, Hollywood is taking notice, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. Actor John Stamos of "Full House" fame has signed on to produce a made for TV movie on Magnusen's life and Project Cuddle. No details yet about when or where the movie will air, but we've got the popcorn and the tissues ready. We love a story with a 661 happy endings.
