Palin

Sarah Palin dropped out of a 5k race on Thanksgiving Day in Kennewick, Wash. The former vice presidential candidate and Alaska Governor quit the race because she wanted to avoid the crowds that were waiting for her at the end, according to The Tri-Cities Herald.

Palin was 1 of about 3,000 participants. The paper reported that her presence drew a "mass of onlookers." Palin announced that she would be running the race on Twitter.

The former Republican vice-presidential candidate visited nearby Richland, Wash., to spend the holiday with relatives. She said it's good to be back in the Tri-Cities to reconnect with "the roots." Her grandparents, Clem and Helen Sheeran, came to Richland in 1943.

Did Sarah process any rational thoughts before she twittered her fans to come watch her run in a 5K race. And by what logical process did she arrive at the stunning decision not to run at the last minute. 5K is a bit more than 2 1/2 miles. A nothing run for an avid runner like Sarah. So, it wasn't the difficulty of the race precipitated the decision not to run. It would have taken less than a 1/2 hour from beginning to end to run and an hour to shake hands, smile for pictures and sign autographs. So, it wasn't a time constraint. The only thing we are left with is she didn't want to do something she'd already signed up for.

I suspect the reason she quit is because she knew she was going to finish in mid-pack, which is the wrong place for a "WINNER".

As a devoted disciple, did you buy thousands of them and stuff them in motel room night stands?

Lend to lease: I see an awful lot of sarcasm, wit, down right funny stuff , but not a whole lot of sack cloth and ashes, which if I remember correctly is for mourning the dead. Old Sarah is going to live a long, self-serving, blunder filled life. And we are going to be here to make sarcastic comments. Deal with it. LOL

This is news?

How about an article on the global warming fraud? of course, most people here probably don't want to admit they scammed themselves about that - beleiving Al Gore and his money making machine over common sense.
BetterDeadthanRedState   01:55 PM on 12/02/2009
No that's boring. Since we can just bring up anything, however unrelated to the thread, let's talk about what an outrageous cook Anne Coulter is.
airmikee99   04:05 PM on 12/02/2009
The first proposed theory for global warming was made in 1896 by a Swedish scientist.

Still think it's all Al Gore, genius?

So, she uses Twitter to publicize the fact that she will be there, and then she's surprised that there is a crowd? Hmmm, I wonder if she sent the Tweet so that she would have an excuse to not finish what she started. . . Sarah, we are sensing a pattern.

Is this a surprise? The woman is a quitter.
BetterDeadthanRedState   01:56 PM on 12/02/2009
The "Turkey Trot" no less. Next year, they might not name the race after her.

Last night, the famous clip from SP's interview with Charlie Gibson was played on TV and it was a great reminder of exactly why this woman should never run for elected office again!

I don't believe Sarah will run for President when she finds out that the job only pays $400K per year! Definitely not enough money for her!

It won't be the salary that puts her off; it will be the fact that she has to show up at work every day for four whole years.

Poor old Sarah. She just keeps making herself look more and more immature and foolish. At some point you have to feel sorry for her.

It's news if you're someone who is toying with being Prez someday and think that Africa is a country or are offended when someone ask what you read. Besides, when did she ever shy away from a crowd? She's just a quitter admit it, hehe. :D

Ya know...It kept bugging me that she reminds me of someone, but I couldn't remember who...until today. Then it hit me...as I was watching an old Dic k Ca vett segment with Woo dy Al len. After checking out Wo ody's answers to D ick's questions, I couldn't help but remember who it is she reminds me of! Yes, folks...good comedy is hard to find.

There goes that Rouge/Rogue again...but it is all about "self". I quit for "my" safety, not yours. Quitter twit.

I just love this woman. Probably for all of the wrong reasons though. She must never, ever become president, which is ludicrous to believe could ever happen. But she and McCain did get 54 million votes. Gasp!

However, she is easy on the eyes and under different circumstances could be quite a crowd pleaser. These republican-conservative types think she the second coming of Joan-of -Arc but clear thinking, rational people realize she's just milking that cash cow for all it's worth.

She continues make blunder after blunder along her career path to...? There's a never ending supply of comedy material coming out of the Palin camp. Just stay gorgeous through it all, Sarah.
