After the briefing, Gibbs went to the president for clarification. Gibbs then called me to his office to relate what the president said. The president told him it IS locked in - there is no flexibility. Troops WILL start coming home in July 2011. Period. It's etched in stone. Gibbs said he even had the chisel.

all the Taliban have to do for then next couple of years is just wait and keep stocking up on China/Russian weapons with England/It­­aly/Germa­n­y money paid to them to not attack THEIR troops, and to keep attacking American troops.

not to mention China has mineral contracts in the Afghanistan Mountains, and Obama don't want to upset his corporate Bosses.

How can you tell when a politician is lying? When he opens his mouth to speak. Anyone who believes we will be out of there by 2011 (Or some sort of "draw down") should be examined for some sort of mental disorder. I guarantee you that date will be pushed forward again, then again and whoever takes over in 2012 will be pressing for more troops for Pakistan as we will be closer to winning, but not there yet. Oh, and the draft will be back and that surtax to fund "their" wars will be in place.

I continue to have the very same misgivings as I have always held for these Bush Wars.There is the rhetoric of victory without a clear definition of just what that really means when we are not at war against a nation but only a few renegades. We are involved in a part of the world where for every renegade killed three or more pop up,and along the way to killing the "bad guys" we end up killing many many more "innocents" thereby creating even more people who dispise us.
When police officers were killed in a donut shop we didn't call in an air strike and naval bombardment, we let the proper authorities handle the situation. When a terrorist orginization attacks the WTC on a cowboy's watch it seems we do send our young men and women into a no win situation.
