"Fox & Friends" co-host Gretchen Carlson interviewed Derek Jeter Wednesday morning — but in the course of praising the Yankees star, she neglected to mention that her husband is his agent!
Carlson introduced Jeter by describing him as "the last pure athlete in Major League Baseball" and saying that "he seems to do everything right."
The interview touched on subjects including his post-baseball plans, the athletes he admires, and how he juggles living in the public eye.
After the interview, Carlson told her co-hosts that she also said to Jeter, "So many people think that you are this perfect guy," adding that "he doesn't like that label."
"I said, 'Do you have any flaws, like, do you make your bed in the morning?'" Carlson said.
Carlson's husband, Casey Close, is Jeter's longtime agent.
