Tea Party Patriots Send Rubber Chickens To Senators: 'Enough Is Enough'

The Tea Party Patriots arrived on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning to deliver rubber chickens to Senators who voted for cloture on the chamber's health care bill.

The group's message to the Democrats and independent lawmakers: "Enough is enough... The chickens will come home to roost in 2010, and Americans are paying attention to the health care legislation vote."

According to the anti-reform group, lawmakers are ignoring the "the silent majority."

"The sleeping giant has been awakened and we will be heard," they said in a mass email.

In fact, polls show that a majority of insured Americans believe that their medical care and financial situation will not change under the contentious legislation.

"2 million people gathered in Washington, DC on September 12 to protest out of control government legislation," claims the group. "We know they chose to ignore us."

Nate Silver estimated that only about 70,000 protesters attended the Tea Party rally.

The rubber chicken gift is not the first prop Tea Party people have sent to Congress. In April, the activists sent thousands of tea bags to members' offices, and more recently rock salt and pink slips.

Oh, and ... someone should tell them that President Thomas Jefferson's mother was BORN IN ENGLAND - making her a loyal British subject ...

thus, according to the Teabaggers - since Jefferson's mother was NOT an American - Jefferson was not eligible to be President.

Wrong. Read your Constitution. There is a special provision for the time, when nation was just born:

"natural born Citizen, OR A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, AT A TIME OF THE ADOPTION OF THIS CONSTITUTION"

Washington, Adams, Jefferson are all falling into a that special category.
Obama was born couple centuries after this constitution was adopted and therefore his only way to comply with the requirements is to be a natural born citizen.

And he is not a natural born citizen. What a pitty.

Educate yourself.

The silent majority in America cannot afford to take time off work to go to Washington to sit-in with Glen Beck, or any other person. They claim they want to be heard but the real problem is we are hearing them they just are not getting it.

Republicans have lied to them. They have lied to them and will keep doing so because they just want a few extra votes.

Republicans have been in power for the last 8 years and all we got was a "Mission Accomplished" banner, 2 wars and a crashed economy that Bush bailed out before leaving office.

People are sick and tired of listening to them.

Where were they when Bush gave the "tax cuts to the rich"? Where were they?? They didn't care during Bush that his economic policies were crashing the economy.

The last election came as a complete shock to the tea baggers. Think about it, couple of years ago they had the decider and cheney plus majority in the house and senate. People were talking about permanent majorities and unitary executive and the baggers ate it up. Next not only is an AA elected president but an unheard of 60 seat majority in the senate. When all you do is watch Faux and post on Free Republic, it is difficult to deal with the fact you are no longer in the majority.

It is. I love how they are always hinting at all these cryptic messages, 'the silent majority has awoken, we will be heard', as if we aren't Americans and haven't been awake for a very long time.
What they are actually coming across as are sore losers who think they are the first to be in a minority. Somehow, their minority status is more poignant? What I find the most funny is that for them to lose an election, it must be blamed on communists, or some far fetched meanie re-incarnated to take away their freedoms.
They don't seem to be able to come to grips with the update that it was their own countrymen that voted them out, fellow Americans. They continue to put their faith in the same politicians that didn't listen to their constituents when they were in power. What makes them think they'll listen to them now? Because they have teabags and they're not afraid to use them?
