Can we say Nuevo-medievilism here..get everyone poor, break the middle class..have only the top 1% have money....yeppers Kings and Dukes and barons..course we will call them senators..Ceos Bank execs(god forbid we use any "european" terms..and we can be happy lil serfs listening to our "elders and betters"

Let's remember: Ben Bernanke has done a superb job as Fed chair. He really has. Bernanke's job, from the outset, has been to funnel as much money as possible to a select number of Wall Street banks. The Wall Street banks DELIBERATELY engaged in reckless investing because they knew the American taxpayer would bail them out. The bankers have been shown to be right in their thinking. Bernanke was the "pilot", the facilitator, for this organized looting. Bernanke went so far as to tell everyone how great the economy was--until even HE couldn't continue to lie.

Yes, confirm Bernacke because he is doing a great job of providing for millionaires and billionaires. As far as the real economy that the middle class and the poor have to contend with, who cares? No one.

Bernacke will be confirmed because he provides for the interests of the rich. For the little guy there will be no relief. It doesn't matter who sits in that seat. Not one thing will be done to keep food, utilities or housing affordable for the middle and lower classes. This is a show debate for anyone who still believes the economy works for average Americans.

Welcome to the new 19th century Americans. We are just cannon fodder now.
