Neil Patrick Harris Is "Frosty The Inappropriate Snowman" (VIDEO)

First Posted: 3/18/10 Updated: 5/25/11

If you've ever wanted to see Neil Patrick Harris voice a snowman, you're in luck. And if you've ever wanted to see Frosty The Snowman talk about his porn collection, well, you're a perv, but you are in luck as well.

In a joint promotion for "Frosty The Snowman" and "How I Met Your Mother," CBS has provided Frosty with audio from NPH's inappropriate character, Barney Stinson. So finally we have the opportunity to watch Frosty gloat about attending a lethal injection. What an age we live in.

So random...I read a post on a marketing blog that named this video the week's brand loser...classic... http://blog.marketingdoctor.tv/2009/12/06/john-tantillos-brand-winner-and-loser-paranormal-activity-and-frosty-the-inappropriate-snowman.aspx

I agree that it's bad marketing, but I thought the video would at least be funny...maybe i'd have to be more familiar with frosty and/or the shows to get it?

Also...i'm confused - isn't there supposed to be a second video related to Two Men? Or am i just not getting the distinction, because i don't know these shows anyway? I was hoping the second one might be funnier..

Uhm... Where have all these people who have a problem with this been? Mad TV and Robot Chicken have had several mock up's of the old xmas cartoon. Making Santa out to be a mob boss, the lumberjack and sasquatch as drug runners, etc. And they've even had a few mock ups of this particular xmas show too. Even Family guy had a mock up scenes of it. So why the big deal now?

I've even seen some comments on the video's youtube links trying to make the obama administration out to be the ones behind it. Whats wrong with people?

Its a parody, not something that was aimed at young children either. Besides does CBS really air all that many children oriented tv shows, aside from a few holiday specials every once in a blue moon?

I am very speechless that was funny, and the title so goes with it. It is true some holiday stories are better left only. In this case left without volume.

Now THAT is funny!

There is nothing of merit in this video. Even if it weren't a twisted re-dub of a children's classic portraying an adult snow man in a child predator fashion; the jokes still fall flat with no context or purpose.

NPH has been better than this in the past and CBS as well. It's just not good PR for any network to create content in which children are subject to sexual material and situations.

The people who find humor situations like that are probably the ones you wouldn't want near your children.

You speak of merit please!

You entirely right my friend. But I have this to say to you. Children really shouldn't be watching tv. When I was growing up (and I am not that old!) I was allowed to watch one hour of supervised television a night and Saturday morning cartoons...which no longer exist by the way. I find it hilarious when people like you preach about merit and morals and yet allow your children to be potentially exposed to stuff like this by plunking em down in front of tv or the internet. You don't want kids exposed to this? Then help fund some children's programs or volunteer or vote for that tax increase so we can have parks and the stuff we had growing up and then you won't have to worry about it so much. And oh yeah....take away the cell phone too.

Snowmen should not be allowed to MARRY! No offense to you and your partner Neil.

The next thing that I'd like to see happen is "White Christmas" redubbed with Beavis and Butthead talk.

Man, NPH is about 10 seconds from becoming a bona fide superstar.

The fact that you can use his initials alone should be evidence of this...!

I was bit creeped out by the juxtaposition of adult themes and child-focused entertainment. The lines that he says are amusing and aren't creepy in themselves, but with the cartoon, eww.
