CNN:

Just about every blockbuster movie is followed by a sequel, or two. The tea party cross country caravan, it appears, is no different.

A Tea Party Express official tells CNN that they're planning a third national tour in late March and early April that will culminate in the nation's capitol on April 15, tax deadline day.

It's not enough to be the "No People", they have to take more vacation time already, wasting their and many others time? I'm sure the graphic designers will have made some really artsy posters.

You don't like the protests against federal spending and demanding more accountability?

Turn off the news becaues they are going to increase.

Anti-war protestors will join in.
Anti-amnesty for illegals will as well.

When the 2010 elections are finished and Republicans (more than likely) gain a few seats these protests must continue. Neither party is doing workers and law abiding citizens any favors with their policies of spend, spend, spend, spend.

I don't trust either one. And if the looney ideas of Pelosi/Obama are what's finally driven people to protest this ignorance, then let it continue until all the politicians get the message.

You don't like guns? Fine, then don't buy one. But, don't stop me from having mine.
You want an abortion? Fine. But, don't ask me to pay for it.
You want to send your kid to a federal government sponsored school? Fine, but don't make my taxes support it. I will pay my own way for my kids education.
You want to spend another wasted Trillion dollars on a Spendulus package? Do it, and lose my vote.
You want me to pay more for energy because of faked global warming? No. Simply no.
You want to give illegal aliens amnesty? Your nuts. We can't afford it.

When they begin to ELIMINATE federal government agencies and programs then I will begin to believe in real change.

Have you seen how many staffers each member of Congress has? I believe (not 100% sure) there were something like 100 people appointed by Lincoln for federal jobs. 100. We have that many czars I think.
12:00 PM on 12/05/2009
Do you know the difference between the executive branch and the legislative branch? Then you would probably know that there were nowhere near the 535 members of Congress that we have now and that the president doesn't appoint congressional staffers. Do you know that there are less than 40 so-called czars and that there were roughly the same amount under the last president? Why didn't we hear all this griping from you from 2000-2008? Get educated instead of just repeating FOX News talking points.

What is wrong with citizens peacefully protesting and questioning the feds wasteful spending?
Or demanding representatives be held more accountable?
Or publicizing their desire to stop the crazy taxing of workers?
Or suggesting with their protest that DC policians are not the answer to our problem, and questioning why states have less and less power and control.

Soon, those protestors will be displaying signs against this latest Afghanistan escelation. And will be most likely be joined by thousands and millions of others for the same reason.

And when Amnesty for Illegals rolls around, there will be even more of them.

May not always like some that represent them or even the few radicals in the mix, but overall their message is pretty solid from the working class of Americans.

I'd much prefer to see these protests, than Muslims praising the release of the Lockerbie bomber, or a group of

Oh goodly, the million mor0ns keep on marching. A nice mixed bag of Birthers, racists (often the same thing), deathers, born-again deficit hawks (who only noticed the deficit when a Democrat got in) and complete lunat!cs, led around by the nose by a clinically !nsane Fox host and whose only point of agreement is how much they hate Obama. I believe this may be the first time since WWII that there a political "movement" has been solely based around hatred for one man (Conservatives, if you try to compare it to hatred of Bush on the left, you are lying).

I am for free speech, but some of these signs are disturbing. I've never figured out how calling the President a racist, socialist and radical, will get results. We need more policy debates and less angry protests.

Theres no cohesion on the right at present. Its all a grab bag of issues to them now. And I completely agree that we need to have some form of discourse. I for one would welcome a reasonably sane discussion so we can consider options in an open forum. But the teabaggers are so riled up there is no reasoning with them.

A reasonably sane discussion? How can we have that when we have a guy living in the White House who was born in Kenya, Indonesia, Hawaii, Iowa and who knows where else?

It's funny, these skin heads with their "impeach the spoiled brat signs" about one of the few Presidents who actually worked his own way to the Presidency (ie, wasn't born into a political family, riches, etc)
04:33 PM on 12/04/2009
I'm sorry, I just cannot take teabaggers serious. If they are all about limited government spending where were they during the eight years that President Bush was breaking the bank? Is it ok to spend money on unnecessary wars but not on the well being of the American people?

Unfortunately I believe most of the teabag movement is motivated by racism. I happend to be on a train to DC full on teabaggers (all white) on September 12th. Their comments and signs were so racist that the African American Amtrak employees wouldn't even enter the cars except to tear their tickets. I had a few hours so I went down to the mall and the only minorities I saw were DC natives such as cops and food cart operators.

Believing in limited government is a genuine policy argument, but these people are just hypocrites.
