They did so by creating a spin-off: "Gossip Girl: S.I." which takes place in New York's outer-most borough. The two locations they shoot in are a pizza parlor and the bathroom on the public ferry. "We'd call it risque but they'd beat us up for sounding gay," the announcer says.
