For years, editors in newsrooms across the country have raked over the year's biggest headlines, separating important stories from the frivolous to compile a list of the biggest news stories of the year for the Associated Press. Now, the AP hopes that Facebook users will decide--sort of.
The AP has created a Facebook application that allows users to rank the top stories of the year. Users have until Dec. 17th to rank the stories, and on Dec. 20th, the AP will compare the list put forward by editors to the one created by Facebook users.
Take a look at the feature and decide which headline was the biggest of the year.
