Wondering why Popeye The Sailor Man is on Google's logo today?

Today marks the 115th anniversary of the birthday of Popeye's creator, E.C. Segar.

In honor of the man who created the famous cartoon, Google has posted the Popeye-inspired logo. See the screenshot below:

Elzie Crisler (E.C.) Segar was born December 8, 1894 in Chester, Illinois. See a picture of him below:
