The chips are falling into place at ABC's "Good Morning America."
The New York Post's Michael Starr reports that JuJu Chang will replace Chris Cuomo as newsreader on the morning show.
The Los Angeles Times' Matea Gold reports that Cuomo, who was the network's second choice behind George Stephanopoulos to replace Diane Sawyer as the show's co-host, has been offered a job as co-anchor of ABC's "20/20," currently anchored solo by Elizabeth Vargas. Gold adds that Cuomo has also been offered an expanded reporting role.
TVNewser reports that Chang, who has been with ABC News since 1991, tested last week with Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos and had good chemistry.
"[Executives] felt that she had a certain chemistry with George and Robin," an insider told TVNewser. "In the end it basically came down to chemistry."
