Abby Toll Pleads "Impaired Mental Condition" For Taping Dog

A former University of Colorado student who was arrested in April on suspicion of taping her boyfriend's dog to the refrigerator pleaded in court Wednesday that she suffered from an "impaired mental condition" that excuses her behavior.

Boulder County District Court Judge Maria Berkenkotter allowed Abby Toll, 20, to enter the plea but ordered a mental health evaluation before agreeing to allow testimony about her mental condition when her case goes to trial April 12.
