Was Fla. Man Harassed To Death By Debt Collectors?

A Florida woman is suing her mortgage company, Green Tree Servicing, for allegedly harassing her husband to death with debt collection phone calls, CNN reports.

The couple fell three months behind on their mortgage when Stanley Mcleod suffered a heart attack in 2002 and was forced to go on disability. Dianne McLeod believes the stress from up to 10 phone calls a day demanding payment aggravated her husband's heart condition.

The mortgage company denies that the content, number or timing of calls had anything to do with the man's death in 2005.
