Michael Bennet Losing Senate Race To Jane Norton, Lesser Known Republicans

A new poll from Rasmussen shows incumbent Michael Bennet with significant ground to make up in the Colorado senate race. The poll has the freshman Senator trailing likely Republican challenger Jane Norton 47% - 36%, with 8% preferring another candidate and 8% undecided. The results are nearly the same as a Rasmussen poll conducted in September.

The poll also has Bennet losing to lesser-known GOP candidate Ken Buck 42% - 38%.

Bennet's democratic Challenger, Andrew Romanoff trails both Buck and Norton as well.

Bennet, who was appointed by Governor Ritter to replace former Senator Ken Salazar, has a cash advantage over Norton and Romanoff, both of whom entered the race in mid September. Bennet, who has been raising money since January, has raised over $3.6 million through 3 quarters. Both Norton and Buck have raised around $500,000. Romanoff has $292,000 dollars.
