McInnis Leads Ritter By 8 Points: Rasmussen

Rasmussen Reports released its latest poll in the Colorado Gubernatorial race on Monday. The poll is the first by Rasmussen since Republican Colorado House Minority Leader Josh Penry dropped out of the race, making Scott McInnis the likely Republican nominee.

The poll showed McInnis beating incumbent Democrat Bill Ritter 48%-40%, with 4% supporting another candidate, and 7% undecided.

Rasmussen determined that 17% of Colorado voters have a favorable opinion of Ritter, while 27% have an unfavorable opinion. McInnis enjoyed a 46%-39% amongst unaffiliated voters, and a 24-point lead amongst men. Ritter had a 47% approval rating.

Business man Dan Maes is also seeking the Republican nomination for Governor.
