8 Faces Of Long-Term Joblessness

Most of us know someone who has had a hard time finding employment recently, but did you know that a record 5.6 million people have been unemployed for more than six months in America?

CNN has released a slideshow of eight people with experience and skills still struggling with long-term joblessness.

Most of the profiled people lost jobs industries that have been particularly financially hard-hit in the last year, including television and communications. They've been hitting consistent dead-ends searching for jobs in their areas of expertise.

Donna Leeds, a former Marketing manager explains:

I did a job search via Internet for a marketing or public relations job and I've been sending out my resume but I really haven't gotten anything. I'm feeling a little depressed. I'm the kind of person where my job is who I am. I'm still looking in California and Arizona but I'm single and my children are grown so I'm willing to relocate anywhere.
