Olbermann Fact Checks Liz Cheney's Attacks On Obama's Oslo Speech (VIDEO)

Liz Cheney called parts of President Obama's Nobel acceptance speech in Oslo "shameful" during an appearance on Fox News Sunday. Cheney was particularly incensed by "this notion that America abandoned our ideals after 9/11" and that we "tortured people." She accused Obama of "slandering the men and women in the CIA."

Keith Olbermann fact-checked her criticism on his MSNBC show last night, concluding that "for any U.S. official to stand up against torture by other U.S. officials does not impugn the entire organization":

No, he meant your father. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not, Ms. Cheney, America did torture or allow torture in multiple parts of the globe under the Bush-Cheney administration... For any US official to stand up against torture by other US officials does not impugn the entire organization -- for example, the CIA. Ms. Cheney obviously shares with her a father a blind, mindless investment in authority that any criticism of an organization like the CIA would be slander.
