Politico:

Conservative leaders are eager to turn Tea Party anger into election-year cash - and to do that, they're launching a flurry of new political action committees aimed at collecting small-dollar donations from newly engaged anti-tax, anti-spending activists.

The latest entrant: Take Back America PAC, to be launched this week by FreedomWorks, the conservative group and Tea Party leader run by former House Republican leader Dick Armey.

They were content. They had an adminstration that shared their fears, homophobia and xenophobia, their racism, and their ignorance.

Now they feel left out.

Seems like the Teabaggers want to create a Somalia right here in America. A county without a government, no taxes, no laws, everybody carries a gun, no education............and it's all run by a bunch of religious kooks.
09:36 AM on 12/16/2009
That seems to sum up their stance definitively.

Where were they when they supported Bush and the Bush "tax cuts for the rich"?

Where were they when they supported "Reagonomics" and the "trickle down" theory with "tax cuts for the rich" who shipped our jobs overseas?

Where were they when Bush, McCain, Cheney and a host of Republicans supported deregulation for the banks, corporations and "rich" who lobbied them for tax breaks?

This group wouldn't know a tax if it fell on them.

They supported Republicans every single time and supported Bush "lock step" all the way.

They supported the tax breaks to rich people who never intended to give them any jobs, the rich just took their money.

The same way Republicans take their money to lie to them and spread fear amongst them.

The reality is they can't accept responsiblity for their own votes and want to blame anybody else for the bad policies that they voted for by electing Republicans.

They seem to forget that Clinton had the balanced budget, the surplus and the great job market.
12:50 PM on 12/16/2009
No. They just want a federal government that governs within the prescribed limits allowed to it by its own Constitution.

At least that's why I'm a tea partier. There is some diversity of opinion amongst the multitudes of people who are fed up with Washington D.C., and there may even be a few fruitloops that want to turn America into Somalia.

But the fact that your response to the criticism of D.C., is simply to dismiss all the protestors as nuts is quite heartwarming. It says to me that you have no actual counter-argument, and you'll likely be sitting around after election day with a befuddled look on your face, unable to understand how or why your neighbors just ran your socialist messiahs out of town.

You have to hand it to Dick Armey. He has convinced the tea baggers to work for the wealthy like the Koch brothers and against their own self-interests.

JANUARY 15 2010 - MARCH FOR CHANGE

AMERICANS NEED TO MARCH ON WASHINGTON IN NUMBERS HERETOFORE UNSEEN TO DEMONSTRATE OUR SUPPORT FOR THE FUNDAMENTAL CHANGES WE STILL BELIEVE IN AND WANT TO SEE OUR PRESIDENT & REPRESENTATIVES FIGHT FOR.

We need to show our numbers, our vigor, and our commitment to REAL, SUBSTANTIVE, AND FUNDAMENTAL (not incremental) CHANGE in a way that will capture the national media's attention and call attention to our discontent. This astroturf, right-wing, TeaBag movement has been successful in creating the misperception that "Millions" of Americans are fed up with Gov't (specifically Obama).

I recall years ago when some family was visiting from the Asian region of the world , they were amazed by the patriotic display everywhere we traveled to. the Flag painted on barns throughout the Midwest. The flag flown in front yards and at many places of business out east. Scattered throughout suburbia yards in California. A cousin ask me if this was a law, having to display the American flag, as they have never seen anything like this anywhere else in the world they had traveled to. And they travel more than I do. When I told them it wasnt a law, just people like their country an dare proud of it, so they choose to display the flag. Its a symbol of accomplishment for many and freedom for all. They found it amazing,.

Move ahead about 15 year. Now even family and friends coming from overseas say the same thing when seeing the American flag being displayed. " Is that a Tea Bagger Persons home?"
Funny. Use to be a display of pride up until recently. Now the American flag is associated world with with radicals and looney toons like the Tea Baggers.. I dont even know if I will put my flag out on the 4th of July because of its new association.

This health insurace 'reform' attempt has turned into a fraud and a joke.
It should be protested.

At least these people are excercising their 1st Amendment rights.
That alone should be applauded.

Instead, people stay home in front of their computer and make fun of the people who are affecting the outcome by DOING SOMETHING. No wonder nothing gets done. People are too lazy to standup for what they believe in.

Everyone who SUPPORTS what the Congress is currently doing on health insurance reform should be out there counter-protesting.

We 'people' have been standing up for what we believe in for a long time.
Conservatives are just late to the party, but pretend they are the first to ever exercise their right to protest.

Tea baggers are a national joke, scoffing at a problem (healthcare) that continues to drain money away from sick poor and middle class workers and gives massive profits to healthcare insurance companies who deny care to the people who need it most. If you follow the money it always leads to lobbyists who back these groups every way they can. These people are not patriots, they are unAmericans who wish to muffle the voices of anyone they don't agree with. They are a blight on our nation.

Its this Congress which is the National Joke.
03:41 PM on 12/16/2009
If they are the ''joke''you claim, then why is a solid majority of Americans in all polls conducted [ the latest by PEW and NBC] aligning themselves with core tea party principles? Indeed, Americans [ Pelosis ''mainstream'' ] are against progressives in nearly all areas. They are for gun ownership, are against capntax. Are more worried about unemployment than global warming. Do not care for gay marriage enough to create even a minimal trend in that direction. Are dead set against this healthcare monstrosity. Indeed, even Obama is now smarting from the revolt as well as Congress as a whole. Easy enough to write them off. Much harder when we find that they vote too, and we will recall state-wide elections such as that in Minnesota that were settled by a mere handful of votes that barely handed control of the Senate to the Dems.

"then why is a solid majority of Americans in all polls conducted [ the latest by PEW and NBC] aligning themselves with core tea party principles?"

They are not:
"In a national survey of likely voters, Rasmussen asked respondents to choose their favored political party for the congressional contests in what pollsters call a generic ballot. In a three-way contest, Democrats fared best, with 36 percent, while a hypothetical Tea Party came in second at 23 percent, and Republicans pulled up the rear with 18 percent."

Isn't the quitter gov collecting enough monies at SarahPac? After all, the SarahPac billboard bus was used to take the quitter gov and publisher employees to the bookstores to sign books. The quitter gov played a big h/o/a/x on the American public. Check at the links below and scroll to view the photos. Judge for yourself.
