"Meet The Press" Marks David Gregory's First Year With Big Ratings Win

"Meet the Press" marked a full year of David Gregory as moderator with a resounding ratings win Sunday.

The NBC Sunday show averaged 3.514 million total viewers, 27% more than ABC's second-place "This Week" (2.766 million) and CBS' third-place "Face the Nation" (2.758 million). "Fox News Sunday" averaged 1.128 million total viewers in its original broadcast on FOX.

The 3.514 million count was "Meet the Press's" highest total viewer delivery since March 29, and the broadcast repesented its biggest win over "This Week" since August.

Gregory hosted Dr. Christina Romer, Chair of the President's Council of Economic Advisers, Former Fed Chairman, Alan Greenspan, Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, 2008 Republican Presidential Candidate and former Massachusetts Gov., Mitt Romney, and CNBC's Jim Cramer.

Tom Brokaw's final broadcast as interim "Meet the Press" moderator occurred on December 7, 2008, when he introduced Gregory as the program's permanent replacement for Tim Russert, who died suddenly that June.
