CNN International talked with Karl Lagerfeld while he was in Shanghai about his natural knack for designing, his love of danger, and how he doesn't remember if his first collection was booed. Lagerfeld explained, "I'm like a TV antenna; I catch it all and do it my way," and shared some of his crack-the-whip sentiments, saying, "Holidays on the beach are okay but don't tell us it's for inspiration, because you become dumb in the sun."
