George Madrid was convicted late Thursday of first-degree murder in the death of James Norman Martinez, Jr., whose body was discovered by former Colorado Rockies standout Larry Walker on Walker's Evergreen property.
The Jefferson County District Court jury deliberated three days before returning their unanimous verdict, which will result in Madrid being sentenced Jan. 26 to life in prison without chance of parole.
