New Jersey Boy Builds 1000 Teddy Bears For Kids

When he was five years old, Justin Martin asked his father if everyone in the world had a teddy bear like his. When he realized that the answer was no, Justin asked if he could give away his old bears.

Then he asked if he could go build bears for other children. His dad acquiesced, and then asked how many teddy bears Justin wanted to make.

Justin replied, "1,000."

They've made about 470 this holiday season at Build-a-Bear Workshop, where Justin customizes each one to his liking. They'll will be completing the rest in time for Christmas. It's become a movement that translates to 2,000 bears over 2 years.

"I just like giving the bears out," grins Justin.
