Biden says a lot of dumb things, but he gets a pass on this one. He had never met Chuck Graham, and nobody told him the guy was in a wheelchair. He was just told to recognize him, and when he realized Chuck couldn't stand up, he handled it quite well. Come on now, that one was reaching for low-hanging fruit.

It is true that they're more akin to a series of tubes than a dumptruck, in that regard he was right. I think it was just a very, very unfortunate choice of metaphor.

There are 57 primaries... you know that, right?

Tell us when you spend countless hours on the campaign trail, traveling across the country. I'm sure you would never, EVER misspeak.
06:33 PM on 01/05/2010
Actually there were 53 primaries in 2008 that involved democrats. This includes caucuses. If you include the republican only primaries, then the number increases to 60. When he misspoke in May, 2008, 46 primaries were history. The man was just wrong.....pure and simple!
