It's January 1. That means Bowl Games. New Year's Day bowl games are an annual college football tradition.

New Year's Day means bowl games, and there are five bowl games scheduled for New Year's Day 2010.

Here are today's bowl games on the schedule:

Outback Bowl 2010:
Jan. 1, 11 a.m., Tampa, Fla.
Northwestern vs. Auburn, ESPN broadcast

Capital One Bowl 2010:
Jan. 1, 1 p.m., Orlando, Fla.
Penn State vs. LSU, ABC broadcast

Gator Bowl 2010:
Jan. 1, 1 p.m., Jacksonville, Fla.
West Virginia vs. Florida State, CBS broadcast

Rose Bowl 2010:
Jan. 1, 5 p.m., Pasadena, Calif.
Oregon vs. Ohio State, ABC broadcast

Sugar Bowl 2010:
Jan. 1, 8:30 p.m., New Orleans, La.
Florida vs. Cincinnati, FOX broadcast

Its real simple . Take the top 6or7 bowl games and the top 8 teams. The bowls could take turns, the first week 4 bowls will be the first round playoff. The second week would be the semi-finals and the next week you would have the championship game. The championship game could either be a 7th of the bowls that already exist or you could have an American championship bowl that moves around much like the superbowl. These games would make more money than the bowls do now and wouldnt effect the remaining bowls. .... Where's the problem?
