Child Finds Penis Picture On Used PSP Christmas Gift

Ten-year-old Kade Goodman's coveted Christmas gift from his father, a PSP gaming system, came with a rude shock: a picture of a penis.

KETV reports that Kade's 13-year-old brother discovered a photo of male genitalia in the background images on the used Playstation Portable (PSP) his father, Shon Goodman, had purchased Kade for the holidays.

Shon told KETV he couldn't get the image -- "something that's not meant to be seen by a child's eye" -- off the PSP:

"At first I thought it was a joke," he said. "Maybe it will come off. But when I started getting into it and started to erase it and couldn't, the more I thought about it, the madder I got."

Although CD Tradepost, the retailer that sold Shon discounted device, had wiped the used unit's memory drive and hard-drive clean, they'd neglected to scrub the background settings. The family got a free game for their troubles.

The lesson? Shon Goodman tells parents that if they buy a used device, "Make sure they go through it and look at every possibility to make sure their kids aren't seeing what mine could've."
