Rep. King's Recommendation To Obama For Fixing Counterterrorism: 'Use The Word Terrorism More Often' (VIDEO)

First Posted: 03/18/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 04:05 PM ET

On Good Morning America Wednesday, Rep. Peter King (R-New York), the ranking Republican on the Homeland Security committee, offered the White House a piece of advice for winning the war on terror: the president should say the word "terrorism" more often.

Host George Stephanopolous asked King to name one "specific recommendation the president could implement right now to fix this."

"I think one main thing would be to -- just himself to use the word "terrorism" more often," King said. This is not a new theme for King, who recently criticized the President for not saying the word "terrorism" in his speech at West Point. This, HuffPost's Jason Linkins points out, is patently untrue.

Who knew that's all it took! King is a genius. Okay, all together now .... let's keep chanting "terror" so a protective cone will cover all of us. Yea, that's the ticket.

Who should be surprised by one of the biggest meatheads the GOP ever fielded wanting bumper sticker slogans from the White House? This guy has to be one of the most objectionable a$$holes that ever somehow got elected.

Just hear me out people, but I think that just maybe some of you might be living in a state of heightened paranoia that might be dfined as clinical. It seems by your texts that you believe that your fears today are somehow more valid then say the 70's and 80's when we thought a nuke might drop at any moment. Those were fears. I find it irrational however to see terrorist (however, dastardly an sinister as they are) threats as anything more then a statistical threat just as getting into your car everyday is. When it comes to security in the matter I absolutely believe those people given the task whether they are politically RED, BLUE, YELLOW, PURPLE are working at our behest. They are your neighbors, your brothers, your cousins. These civil workers are YOU, why would you assume they do anything other then think about protecting you, their brother, sister, friends, your neighbors. People want to hurt to hurt people, we have 10,000 violent crimes commited by American's against Americans every year, but nobody is moving to Canada. So let's stop throwing political stink bombs as if their is an agenda in which and administration is purposefully negligent in their duties to serve at our behest in security matters. This is all the buffet of the HAWKS and MUCKRAKERS.

NO ONE IN THE W. HOUSE GOT A MEMO THAT SAID: "POOPIE PANTS BOMBER ON WAY TO AIRPORT?"

Exactly what has the GOP done for the country in the last 20 years? They are just a bunch of cowards and racists.

The only terror I can think of is the Republican Party and the gun-toting Tea Baggers, and the possibility of any of them getting elected.

They want you to be afraid - very afraid. I am afraid - of them!

I wish I could find the one where Stewart counts the number of times he says September 11.

You're asked for one specific implementation are you come up with repeating a word more often? New York must be a very safe place to live... oh wait...forget it.
