BCS National Championship History: WATCH Exciting Finishes From Past Years (VIDEOS)

The history of the BCS National Championship Game includes some exciting games and nail-biting finishes, whether you're a fan of the format or not.

The 2007 BCS National Championship Game was the first to go under that official title, as No. 2 Florida defeated No. 1 Ohio 41-14.

Prior to that, the name of the BCS National Championship Game alternated -- it was the 2006 Rose Bowl, 2005 Orange Bowl, 2004 Sugar Bowl, 2003 Fiesta Bowl, 2002 Rose Bowl, 2001 Orange Bowl, 2000 Sugar Bowl, and 1999 Fiesta Bowl. Some of these games were quite memorable, including Ohio State's double overtime triumph in 2003 and a late touchdown giving Texas a win over USC in 2006.
