James Carville Mocks Giuliani On SNL (VIDEO)

First Posted: 03/18/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 04:10 PM ET

We love Bill Hader's always hilarious (and surprisingly accurate) portrayal of James Carville. In last night's weekend update, Hader broke out the impression to touch on topics such as the Underwear Bomber, Dick Cheney, and Giuliani's surprising memory of 9/11. Said the Ragin' Cajun of the latter: "These Republicans are like a fat lady in a milkshake store. They're grasping for straws."

The comedy on their is so dry, it would upset John Cleese.

I just read that the Charles Barkley show received a huge ratings, so I guess a lot of people are still watching. BTW Your comment is incredibly stale and unoriginal, just saying.

republicans and democrats both parties work for the corporations that pay them the most money. you and i just suffer the consequences. of course there's a difference, the dems are more educated and less shallow then the repugs. still we don't count that much. maybe we are worth a few lies.

His Malkovich is pure genius. One of the best impressions ever !!

Perhaps too many who have commented on this don't watch real news at all. I have seen James Carville MANY times with his robot-like wife, and I think the SNL performance in question was pretty LAME !!

Right on! Once in a great while the old sparkle of SNL still shines through. As for that "fat lady" she's breaking out in a cold sweat.

Yes they seem to be funnier if they aren't lampooning health care reform. hmm...

It was classic SNL. The James Carville bit was hilarious. Barkley was very funny, especially as Alicia Keys. Alicia's performance was sweet.

He did a great job with that impression. Overall that was a pretty good episode. SNL is realizing again what impact they have on political comedy and they seem to be harnessing that like in the past. http://selfdeprecate.com

Guiliani was on three show spewing the same lie. Huffington Post has a video of Mary Matalin, Carville's wife, saying George the 2nd inherited Sept ll. Has the GOP become the new comm units party following Lenin: "A lie told often enough becomes truth"

Republicans sickness, hits Giuliani's, we were attacked 5 times under Bush administration. North and South Tour, Pentagon, a farm and Dec 22, Richard Reid the shoe bomber launched his failed terror attack on Bush's watch too.
What bothers me the most is that the Bush administration was handed a balanced budget then ran up 5+ trillion in debt during a period of economic prosperity for all Republican his sponsors.

You forgot the anthrax wich may have been mailed by someone working at the U.S. weaponized anthrax project.

What you seem to forget is in 2001 there was an incident that caused large amounts of money to be spent which the dems agreed to.

Let's also not forget bond vigilantes forced a balanced budget. It was not Clinton's choice.
