Chris Dodd: Health Care 'Hanging By A Thread' (VIDEO)

In an interview Monday with CNBC, retiring Sen. Chris Dodd said health care reform "is hanging by a thread."

The Connecticut senator was stating the obvious -- that one or two votes could kill the legislation. He named Sens. Blanche Lincoln (D-Ark.), Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) as three reform supporters who could end up voting against the bill. And he said more progressive Democrats are also concerned by what has been cut from the legislation.

"Everyone feels, I guess, to some degree who have been for this, that they would have liked something different, and that's not uncommon when you're considering an issue of this magnitude," Dodd said.

Dodd announced last week that he would not run for reelection.
