George H. W. Bush Heckled At Pizza Place (VIDEO)

First Posted: 03/18/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 04:10 PM ET

When he ran into George H. W. Bush at a pizza place, one man decided to give the former president a piece of his mind.

The man called Bush a "murderous, Zionist piece of shit" responsible for millions of deaths. He added that Bush's "new world order" would never come to be, an apparent reference to the 1991 State of the Union.

This was funny. This guy is doing it the hard way though. It's easier to just tell republicans they don't belong in this country.
01:22 PM on 01/25/2010
Republicans don't belong in a Republic?
08:16 AM on 02/06/2010
He meant "so-called" republicans. Actually, they belong in a zoo.

I’m curious what the guy doing the insulting does for a living or even if he has ever been motivated to get out of his comfort zone to do something positive for the world. You may not agree with Bush, but the hecklers actions are antithetical to civil discourse. No power is absolute, thus any power has to have some justification for what they do. What is the hecklers motivation and goal? To just blow off steam and frustration? As if Bush is personally responsible for the particular evils this man has experienced is simply delusional.

I agree completely. I'm no fan of Papa Bush's policies/actions, but I'm not going to bark obscenities to show my disagreement. This heckler achieved absolutely nothing by this. And you're right -- there was a strong dose of conspiratorial delusion to his ranting. Partisan extremism run amok.

I'll never forget Bush laughing about New Orleans and making a wise crack about delegating power when asked a hard question on the subject that he couldn't answer. How do you know this man didn't lose a son or daughter in Iraq? Or family in New Orleans? Or perhaps his parents lost their life entire life savings when subprimes went south. Or maybe he lost his own house and then his wife left him. Or maybe he knows a little more than you do about the 2000 and 2004 election results. G.W. Bush a despicable, loathsome man, and your pretensions to civility sound hollow to me.

I don't agree with former President Bush's policies, but I would not have done what this guy has done to him. Anybody has a right to walk into a private property without being bothered or insulted.

would you give that same right to Osama Bin Laden?
07:50 PM on 01/24/2010
That is facile and irrelevant, Osama Bin Laden is not an American citizen.

No they don't ,ask any celebrity with a camera jammed in their face. It's the same thing. Actually I would have asked him if he wanted to step outside and talk just to see if he's as tough as he acts.

Thousands of soldiers dead in a un-needed war.
Worst attack on American soil.
Thousands of billions added to the national debt.
Hundreds if not thousand dead in Karina.
Stagnate unemployment for eight years.
Trillions of dollars melt down of the global economy.
Hecking the the former President for those deeds priceless.

Why doesn't he pay for his own security guards.These people are millionares who can afford to pay.
We should cut some of the benefits they are getting and can afford to pay there own way.
We pay for their security ther offices and pensions.It time they pay their own way and quit taking welfare from the government.You notice there right their when someone else is picking up the tab but anyone else it's welfare.
This men was only express he's felling and his anger.He is voicing what a lot of Americans are feeling.
Oreilly has no right asking to have him arrested .Who the hell is he.I guess freedom of speech only belongs to them.He the pin head.
People are losing ever thing they work for and these S.O.B live the good life and offer no help to any one.He and the one who works for Fox's news start this mess where in.His son wouldn't of been elected if was'n for him and his cronies and there dirty campaign style.

You got a point here about Bush's millions and the government support of private guards for him and the largess the government has shown to such millionaires.

This is sad. Every President ever has probably had half the nation disagree with them and a small to moderate percentage that despise them. But, what good did that heckling do? I'm a proud democrat, but of the two Bush presidents....I would would take H. W. any day... if I had to make that choice.

Bush has the blood of millions of innocent people throughout the world upon his wretched hands, far more than "Junior" is responsible for killing. He deserves far worse.

I applaud this guy for having the courage to speak truth directly to the power itself.
It is more than most of us can say we have done.

I'm pretty sure this incident has caused Bush to deeply question his past statements and policies and,indeed, his place in the universe. After much contemplation he likely had a sort of revelation about how much harm he and his allies have done to the reputation and collective soul of the American people. Following that revelation he probably has resolved to work tireless till the end of his days to set it all right, to undo the harm he and his son have done . . .

Oh, wait. He didn't even hear it? Never mind . . .

I remember protesting the Nicaraguan fiasco in front of Reagan. He looked right through everyone us as if we didn't exist. Rumsfeld recently did the same thing. GHWB has already forgotten about it, if he even heard it in the first place.

When people have no conscious like Cheney, Bush, and Rove, consideration must be made for the diagnosis of Antisocial Personality Disorders. Here are the criteria. Do you think they fit??
There is a pervasive pattern of disregard for and the rights of others, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:
1. failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest;
2. deceitfulness, as indicated by repeatedly lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure;
3. impulsivity or failure to plan ahead;
4. irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults;
5. reckless disregard for safety of self or others;
6. consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work behavior or honor financial obligations;
7. lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another.
Deceit and manipulation are considered essential features of the disorder
