Ritter State Of The State: Governor Talks Budget, Slams Ballot Initiatives in Final Address

Colorado will get its economy back on solid footing if it continues on the path of the past three years, Gov. Bill Ritter said in his final State of the State address Thursday.

Though the state is saddled with a $601 million budget shortfall this year and another that is estimated to reach $1.3 billion next fiscal year, the Democratic governor painted a picture of hope for businesses and residents.
