Patrice Cormier, a forward for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in Quebec, brutally attacked an opponent with his elbow yesterday. Cormier was a captain for Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships and is known to for previous dirty hits.
According to French reports found by Puck Daddy, yesterday's hit on Mikael Tam caused the Remparts player to stop breathing for 30 seconds. Tam's team may also have filed a criminal complaint for the vicious hit.
