Gabourey Sidibe Is Royal In Blue (PHOTO)

Gabourey Sidibe wore a royal blue gown and soft curls to Saturday night's SAG Awards, where she was nominated for Best Actress for her performance in 'Precious.'

Gabby admitted she didn't watch the SAG Awards last year.

"Sorry, I wasn't an actress then. I wasn't paying attention!" she said.

People....she is heavy that way because SHE WAS PLAYING A PART IN A MOVIE. Because of her weight, she was chosen for the part as Precious - a character who is SUPPOSE to be obese and unattractive. Now that the movie is done, perhaps she may focus on loosing some weight, if she hasn't already started. Give her time.....geesh!! I am almost positively sure that now that she has some money she will be surrounded by the proper trainers and nutritionists to help her drop most the weight effectively and properly to the point where it's healthy and not obese. This young lady, before this movie has probably never been in the spotlight before in this way, so now that circumstances have changed I'm sure she will focus on loosing weight.

I don't care how many awards she has won for acting. I'm from a country where big is considered beautiful and it disgusts me!!! She is one unhealthy, " too young to be so big" girl who is on her way to a very massive heart attack at a young age. She needs to lose some weight fast. I never liked that fact that Monique disrespected thin girls all the time and was pleasantly surprised at her recent attempts to lose weight. This is so painful to watch!!! Gosh I am so concerned for her health I can't watch the damn movie!!!

When you're that big, you have to act like you're the only one in the room who doesn't notice. Whether it's cracking jokes (Mo'Nique), or being loud & brash (Rosie or Queen Latifah), you try to divert attention from yourself. I feel kind of sorry for her, and I wish she would lose some of that weight.

She appears to have a lost a few pounds since she made the movie, "Precious." I don't expect that she can ever realistically achieve the near-anorexic thinness so popular these days, but she could lose some more pounds. Royal blue is flattering to her coloring.

That is a very sick woman.

I hope one day she realizes that rejoicing and celebrating her obesity his pure nonsense and statistically she has a very good chance of dying very early in life. Her complete denial of the FACT that she is sick is simply NOT good for American society seeing that 1/3 of Americans are obese.

Hope she starts trying to treat her sickness soon.

I thought the same thing when I look at pictures of her. She looks like she is retaining an awful lot of water and doesn't appear to be eating healthy. She is too young to be that unhealthy. Hopefully she will get some sort of intervention. She is an attractive girl too.

I liked how, in the movie, she basically played herself whenever she lapsed into day dream, in contrast to the ground down character she portrayed in the other, realistic scenes.

If she wants to be obese, it's her choice. She could easily choose a healthier lifestyle, but that probably would end her acting career. However it is getting sad to see that any wrist and ankle definition is becoming an increasingly rare feature on most Americans.
