The bankers will love to point out that unilateral moves don't help - knowing that if anybody takes that bait, the net result is that LESS will happen.

And they will love to claim that the recent proposals do not address the causes of the crisis - and if the proposals DID address the causes of the crisis, bankers would point out that it doesn't help to fight the last wars, since the next problem will be showing someplace else, totally unexpected, because financial markets are so efficient that it can only be so.

Predictable crises are for babies, not for bankers. Too bad that the crisis was not only predictable but also predicted. And that efficient capital markets do not support banks - which thrive only in 'subdeveloped' market economies, not in full-fledged ones.

I'm kind of getting tired of this. There's only so much fun in pointing out to a group of people that all their mistakes result from the same small list of groupthink errors and self-contradictions.

How can you plot against someone who has your best interest at heart? Smoke and mirrors.

Davos WEF? Trilateral Commission? Bilderberg Group? Whenever these folks get together it's bad news for us. We should keep an eye on those who attend all three, and how many are also enamored of WTO, GATT, NAFTA, CAFTA and all those sinister agreements. I think Naomi Klein warned us against them in The Shock Doctrine.

Even better, Obama should send Paul Volker, Eliot Spitzer and Austin Goolsbee to rebuttal EVERY single issue/effort that the Wall Street crownd lobbies against point-by-point. BE VISIBLE and BE VOCAL and STOP letting the Wall Street, Healthcare and Tea Party lobby narrative go unchallenged!! Man Up, Mr. President!

Republicans are going to be overwhelmingly against them too.

If that tells you anything.

IT should tell Americans that the GOP is all about big business and themselves and NOT the people that put them in office.

Say what?!? Truly shocking.... [not]... I've decided my new 'term' is Predatory Capitalism to more accurately describe their activities. To say they merely 'invest' in anything is too simple and narrow - as the true mission is to load up everything/everybody in sight with debt owed to them.
