Carla Bruni Visits Benin (PHOTOS)

French First Lady Carla Bruni is on a two-day trip to Benin with the AIDS World Fund. So far, she's met with Benin President Thomas Yayi Boni at the Presidential palace in Cotonou and she's checked out the 'Auberge de l'Amour Redempteur' hospital in Dangbo. And of course, Bruni was well-dressed for both occasions, wearing a black dress with an embellished neckline to meet Boni, and opting for a white shirt over a black top and gray pants to speak with doctors. Very elegant. Madame Bruni Sarkozy comes from an aristocratic family and lots of old money. She didn't just fall off a turnip truck. She speaks four languages and is doing a great social work as first lady. France has lucky to have her.

Carla always looks classy and understated. She doesn't overdress or dress in a flashy way to draw attention to herself. She is a very attractive woman with a great sense of style.

I noticed all the posts on here about this woman is favorable. where is the oposite view? I know I wrote that I don't find this woman attractive at all, I said her hair always looks greasy, and she's skinny, is it that you get to post here only if you think this woman is worldly and pretty? where's other people's opinion

I find her hairstyle to be too youthful for her. Even though she's a very striking woman, the effect of the center part and loose hair is oddly incongruous, too stark for a woman in her forties--it's a style more appropriate for a teenager. The demure clothing also seems intended to suggest a very young person, one whose face, figure, and coloring needs no embellishment. But no matter how beautiful the woman, if she's well into her forties this approach misses the mark. It's actually a bit aging because you notice the disparity between the hairstyle and her actual age.
