Pontiac Vibe Recall 2010: GM Pulls Cars As Part Of Toyota Recall

A Pontiac Vibe recall has been announced as a result of the massive 2010 Toyota Recall a week ago.

CNN Money notes:

GM's Vibe is essentially the same car as the Toyota Matrix, one of eight Toyota models the Japanese car maker told dealers to stop selling while it investigates possible defects that may cause the vehicle to accelerate unintentionally.

The Pontiac Vibe is a sports station wagon that was recently discontinued by Pontiac. This is not the first time the Pontiac Vibe has been involved in a recall.

Pontiac Vibes used to be built at a factory once shared by Pontiac and GM.

Other models affected by the 2.3-million-vehicle Toyota recall were the RAV4, Corolla, Avalon, Camry, Highlander, Tundra, and Sequoia.
