use the vacuum for ants instead of Raid--they learn after 2 or 3 days.

If your windows are drafty you can attach a sheet of plastic to create an airspace & better insulation. Plastic drop cloths are cheap although thicker plastic adheres better, and offers better protection against cold & damp.
