Daley Rips Media Over Michael Scott Story: 'You People Need A Life...I Feel Sorry For Your Families' (VIDEO)

In response to the Chicago Sun-Times' exclusive article on School Board President Michael W. Scott's suicide and its possible connection to City Hall--Mayor Daley ripped the newspaper and the media in general Sunday morning.

Daley called the Sun-Times "totally irresponsible" and said they ran a "phony headline," also adding that he feels "sorry" for the newspaper.

The Sun-Times reported that a top Daley aide called Scott 16 hours before he was found dead to schedule a meeting about "questionable expenses that Scott and his staff had charged to board credit cards."

On Sunday, Daley ripped a group of reporters and told them the investigation had nothing to do with Scott taking his own life on Nov. 16, 2009.

"It had nothing to do with it," Daley said. "If you could predict why someone committed suicide you'd be the greatest psychologist in the world...I feel sorry for the Sun-Times"

He also called speculation about Scott's death "sick" and then told the reporters: "You people need a life. I feel sorry for your families, too."
