Pink's Grammy Performance: Upside Down & Nearly Naked (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

First Posted: 4/2/10   Updated: 5/25/11

Pink wowed the crowd at the Grammy Awards when she sang "Glitter in the Air" while suspended in the air, spinning and singing like something out of Cirque de Soleil.

She started off in a hooded dress and ended it having stripped to a nude bodysuit with just a patch of glitter and some white strips, dunked in a tub of water.

Simply beautiful--the song and the performance. P!nk is underrated and underappreciated...though not by me. Go 'head, girl!

The Pink performance was transcendent. True art in every way. She just raised the bar big time.

I love it that P!ink's a singer--not an actress or model who tries her hand at music. Her stuff's great...and I would challenge anyone to try to sing...with that kind of vocal control...from a trapeze.

Mark my words in a few years we all will be saying Taylor who?

I believe Pink has has shown us what a true peformnce artist is... even Keith Urban stated it was the
best performance he had ever seen.
Lady Ga ga is out to shock the viewer totally deviod of any symbolism or inspiration.
Where as Pink's ability to transcend all walks of life into the moment of her craft takes us
with her on the journey leaving us wanting another trip...it's quite addicting.

Poisonous epitaphs dished out periodically.

Wretched excess. Emphasis on the words wretched and excess.

And if one thought that the spectacle of Lady GaGa is enough to make one run to the medicine cabinet for some Pepto-Bismol...

FORGET LIP SYNCING!!
Pink is notorious for blatantly stealing the performance ideas of a little band in Los Angeles called Powder. Her grammy performance is strikingly similar to what Powder has been doing since 2002.
http://www.powdermusic.com/- is their site... i suggest u watch a performance... they are awesome!

Very "similar"... not cool :(

Point being Powder was not up for a Grammy nor do they have the range that is so very Pink.
08:35 AM on 02/04/2010
I just watched of video of Powder and they are buble gum at best not soulful and sultry like
Pink.

I spend so much time defending women's freedom against the forces that want them to be under-the-thumb,burqa-wearing baby-makers. Then I see this and think, no wonder they think we're depraved.

Do everyone a favor and speak only for yourself. I, for one, do not appreciate your need to speak for me. Assuming the responsibility of speaking on behalf of others based on your own beliefs is just another shade of ignorance. Just because someone does not agree with you or make the exact choices that you would doesn't make them under the influence of "forces."

I thought it was the best performance of the night - it had everything. It was, actually, in my opinion one of the better of the Grammy shows.

I think it's crazy to do stunts like this? Have we learned nothing from the WWE, Owen Hart incident.

Also, the whole water thing was like she was peeing from the ceiling and giving everyone a golden shower. Not attractive imagery.

You know nothing about symbolism that was a christening a rebirth of being trapped in todays norm
of the "Pop Pricess Syndrome"She was freeing herself of the trappings of being objectified as
a slave in a male domneering society.

So let me understand this, Freedomfinder, she was to be free of being "objectified" in a male domineering society? Dressed like that? haha

People have become so convinced every pop star is a fraud that when one actually sings well, and look hot doing it, all the hate comes out.
