Snooki Reports From The Grammys Red Carpet (PHOTOS)

'Jersey Shore' star Snooki showed up at the Grammys in a purple Guess by Marciano bandage dress, which she paired with sunglasses and a black puff coat.

"I really like it because it shows my cleavage," she told MTV. "And I always wear black, so why not do purple? It still makes me look tan, and I'm gonna look bangin', pretty much."

Snooki is a guest correspondent for MTV News at the Grammys.

I had no idea of this sub-culture before this December. I think these Guidos have existed for a long time. (10-15 years, more?). If you watch Youtube videos of this sub-culture, the kids on "Jersey Shore" are the nicest and most well-behaved of the lot.

I think the culture shock is why people are so afraid of them, like they say people are afraid of things they don't understand. I remember going to a Grateful Dead concert for the first time in 1988 and being surrounded by 50,000 high hippie kids. I had never seen hippies before. It freaked me out!

But honestly, even if people have problems with their behavior, I can't fathom the lack of compassion for them. Meredith Viera interviewed them on Today and was just rude. How does that help?

I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise when no talent, classless 'reality' dimbulbs show up everywhere there's a red carpet. We really are a society in decline when people like this are celebrated in the media.

While she isn't exactly up to the standards of Hollywood, I give her a ton of credit for having the confidence to wear that dress. She obviously believes she looks good in it and a lot can be said for that. Why is it that everyone feels the need to put her down for her weight? She isn't that big and what counts is how she feels about herself.

How many of you making snide remarks would be willing to put yourself out there like she is?

Actually I bet they are. And why shouldn't they be, you aren't judging her based on her picture are you? If so, YOUR parents must be even prouder.

I suppose she is not out classed at this affair, where street hoods get dressed out for the night. OK, some are rather talented street hoods, but others do not have the luxury of making that claim. I suppose having no sense of shame is a key ingredient to modern notions of fame. There is a point where you actually must have talent..... isn't there?

Well, she managed to make Britney look classy.

That's saying something!

Researched her a bit and went on Intelius using her real name, Nicole Polizzi, and it showed her age as 29 and not 21 as she has been trying to claim. I'm sure the rest are lot's older too.

What ever happend to 15 minutes of fame, can we please bring that back.

This group is just getting started. I think they need to stay at the Jersey Shore though. I can't really see them any other place. Maybe the city won't give MTV the permits or something because this isn't broken so why change the local?

Maybe if she had a different coat, bag and attitude she could pull it off...oh and the shoes don't help.
