Of course HuffPost, with all it's telephoto shots of body parts of various celebrities wouldn't have anything to do with promoting this.

Actually, the reverse issue needs to be studied: obesity. This epidemic is what is truly ravaging our country whereas only the mortality rate among people with anorexia has been estimated at 0.56 percent per year. Calorie restriction is what most females and males in this country need. The models I know eat extremely healthy food and enjoy fitness. Perhaps we should emulate some of their lifestyles instead of drowning ourselves in self-pity, jealousy and junk-food?

There is a middle ground. Too skinny is just as unattractive as too plump. Curves are good, spare tires are bad.

Most men want to snuggle up with something soft instead of a skeleton.

Fashion Illustration has ALWAYS favored the incredibly THIN & LANKY. It is just the Fashion Style.
THE PROBLEM arises when the Fashion Industry tries to make HUMAN girls/women look like Fashion Drawings. It is just NOT Right and certainly NOT HEALTHY nor Realistic.
It is as CRAZY as dying people's skin blue to make them look like the creatures in AVATAR!
Women SHOULD protest the trend and relish their curves.
