Do Soap Operas Have Daddy Issues? (VIDEO)

According to Current's "Infomania" team, the answer is "yes," soap operas most certainly do have daddy issues. That term can be defined in a variety of ways, but an easy way to prove it is by showing dozens of grown women using the word "daddy" which is one of the creepiest things you can do without inviting an FCC fine.

Even as a joke, this is just dumb. Most of the clips weren't of women addressing their fathers, but of people using the word to call someone a "spoiled rich girl".

Aside from that, a grown woman calling their father "daddy" is not a big deal for most of the country. In some places it is even common for grown men to call their father "daddy".

It is usually a Southern thing. I can't think of one of my friends or co-workers who does not call their father "daddy". I do also call him dad, but come on!
