Earthquake Survivor Starts Foundation As Tribute To Rescuers

Christa Brelsford lost her leg and nearly lost her life during the Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti.

Now, the 25-year-old wants to pay tribute to the two Haitian men who helped her survive her ordeal by starting a foundation to help those still suffering in Haiti, NBC Miami reports.

The goal of the foundation is to give raise money to help the island nation recover from the natural disaster, but equally important for Brelsford is to get the 18-year-old who helped dig her out of the rubble a college scholarship.
