Why am I not surprised? This country that sell out its millions of poor and indigenous people for profit. they are clearing the land so the rich can take it over from the peasants, and let us not forget Venezuela is next door waiting to be invaded by all these massive military trained Colombians and supported with our tax dollars. The smell of oil is rising!

. . . teabaggers are a joke: they have no idea what loss of freedom--or political action--really entails. I complain about the US's domestic and international policies with abandon, but even with our myriad social and fiscal/financial woes, we are so very fortunate when compared with many parts of the world.

This is the history of the Latin people. A small group of wealthy oligarchs owns and controls the country and with the help of the CIA, and soldiers schooled in Americas famous "School of the Americas", military and paramilitary are trained in how to assist in a coup and torture and otherwise harass the common people and any group or union that tries to better the people's lot. In return American companies get free reign and cheap labor and any natural resources or commodities, like coffee very cheaply.
The U, S. recently got permission from Columbia to use seven airports. Ostensibly for the drug war(?). But in reality they are preparing to invade or support an invasion of Venezuela. Now that we know Venezuela has the second highest oil reserves in the world the American oil companies are lusting after control of this trillion dollar resource. You may have noticed that America is trying to get out of Afghanistan all of a sudden well America wants to "refocus" its military resources. Especially seeing that the Chinese have built a pipeline from Khazistan to China beating America to the oil and gas riches they were hoping to tap into and move south through Afghanistan. That's over.
